Well summer is upon us and it is HOT and all I want to do is stay inside in the air conditioning or go play in the water somewhere. Both of these activities are great, but it will not get the grass cut, the vegetables harvested or get the ground/beds ready for the fall garden. I have a little time for the fall garden so I will just stick with cutting the grass and harvesting the vegetables for now. Make sure to monitor your water to ensure the lawn as well as your plants are getting enough water.

I think it is a great time for a vacation. Let me consider where I should be on the 4th of July. Maybe a trip to the beach or the mountains. As I think about these, I have decided to go fishing. I haven’t been fishing in a while. I believe that a trip to Lake Talquin will be fun over the week on July 4th. With the family in a cabin the boat in a slip, I believe it will be great. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon will be the best time for catching fish. I don’t care what we catch or how many as long as it is enough for a meal. Be sure to check back here next month to find out how it went. I will give a full report.
