FLORIDA PANHANDLE PLUMS

Planting and Spacing; Plant your plum trees on a 20' x 20' spacing. Be sure to plant them in the ground at the same dept they are in the pot. This means that the level of the top of the soil in the pot is level with the ground surface.

Watering; Water the plant in well when you plant it being sure not to leave open spots around the roots. A berm twice the size of the pot about two inches high is desirable to assist in watering.

Pruning; Pruning is suggested between November and the end of January. I usually prune them like a peach so I can easily pick the fruit without a ladder.

Spraying; Follow the spray program under Plant Care. For special situation contact your County Agent for assiatance.
