Potted Christmas tree care is somewhat different from cut trees, because its root system is still intact. After bringing your tree home, decide how you are going to cover the pot. We suggest you only wrap the outside of the pot and not the bottom so it will not cause the pot to hold water that may damage the tree. Consider using a saucer type tray underneath to catch excess water. Place your tree in front of a window with good light. Check your tree daily by sticking your finger in the soil to gauge the moisture level. Only add water if your soil is dry to the touch. After Christmas you may plant your tree - no need to wait until spring.
